The Game

What is Purn Win Game?
Purn Win Game is a free block puzzle that runs in your browser. Its game, Purn Fill, gives you three pieces at a time to drop on an 8 by 8 board; full rows and columns clear and score.
Is it PurnWin Game or Purn Win Game?
Same game, two spellings. The name is Purn Win Game, and PurnWin Game is how many people type it in one word. Both lead to purnwingame.com.
Is the game free?
Completely. There are no purchases, no paid boosts and no subscriptions. Points, ranks and badges come only from playing.
What do points give me?
Points move you up the six ranks and unlock badges, and a full board clear simply feels great. They are for fun only and cannot be exchanged or transferred.
Why can pieces not be rotated?
Fixed shapes are what make the puzzle a puzzle: you plan around the pieces you get. With 37 shapes in the mix, every tray is a new small problem.
Does the game get harder?
The rules stay the same, but the board fills up as a game goes on and the pieces keep coming. Long games are won by keeping space open, not by speed.

Scores and Progress

How is the score calculated?
One point per block placed, plus line points: 10 for one line, 30 for two at once, 60 for three, 100 for four. Line points are multiplied by your chain, and emptying the board adds 300.
Where is my progress saved?
In your browser on this device, after every move. Nothing is uploaded. Clearing the browser data for this site removes it.
Can I move my progress to a new phone?
Not yet, because profiles live only on the device. It is on our list; until then each device keeps its own scores.
What happens if I close the tab mid-game?
Nothing is lost. Open the site again and press Continue to carry on from the same board and score.

Any recent phone, tablet or computer with Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox or Samsung Internet. It is designed for phones first and plays one-handed.
Is there an app?
Yes, a web app: add Purn Win Game to your home screen from the browser and it opens full screen with its own icon, even offline.
Who can play?
The site is meant for players aged 18 and over. The puzzle itself has no violence, no chat and no contact with other players.
How do I report a bug or suggest an idea?
Email the team from the contact page. Tell us your device, browser and what happened; a screenshot helps a lot.
