About & FAQ

Is Purn Win Game free?
Yes. Purn Win Game is free to play in any modern browser. There is nothing to buy and nothing to unlock with money: points, ranks and badges are earned only by playing.
Do I need to download anything?
No. The puzzle runs on this page. If you like it, you can add Purn Win Game to your home screen in a few taps; it then opens full screen like an app and works offline.
Is it PurnWin Game or Purn Win Game?
Both point to the same game. The name is written Purn Win Game, and many players type it as one word, PurnWin Game. Either spelling brings you to purnwingame.com.
What does Purn mean?
Purn comes from the Hindi word for full or complete. In the game a row or a column that is completely full clears from the board, so every clear is a small purn win.
Where is my score saved?
In this browser on this device. A guest score is kept too, and a free player name with a 4-digit PIN lets several people share one phone without mixing their ranks.
How long is one game?
A relaxed game lasts five to fifteen minutes. There is no timer: the game ends only when none of your pieces fits and no refresh is left, so you can pause any time.
Purn Win Game is a puzzle played for points and badges only. Scores cannot be bought, sold or swapped for anything.

Purn Win Game: a Block Puzzle Made for Phones

Coral block buddy waving, the Purn Win Game host

Purn Win Game is a free block puzzle you play right here, on the page you are reading. The game is called Purn Fill: you drag coloured pieces onto an 8 by 8 board, and every row or column you fill all the way across disappears and scores. There are no timers, no lives and no ads between rounds. A game ends only when none of your three pieces has room left.

We built Purn Win Game for the moments in a day when you have five or ten minutes: the metro, a tea break, the wait before a class. It loads fast on a small data pack, works one-handed, and remembers your game if you close the tab, so you can pick it up again later.

What Purn Means

Purn comes from पूर्ण, the Hindi word for full or complete. That is the whole idea of the Purn Win Game puzzle: a line only clears when it is complete. Our logo shows the same thought, a three by three grid with one block still dropping into the last gap. Finish the line and you get the purn moment, a burst of colour, a sound and a jump in your score.

How a Game Works

  1. Three pieces arrive in the tray under the board. They can be single blocks, bars up to five long, squares, corners, T and S shapes.
  2. Drag a piece onto the board. On a phone it floats just above your finger so you can see where it lands; a yellow shadow shows the spot.
  3. Fill a row or a column and it clears. Lines that are about to clear glow while you hold the piece over them.
  4. Use all three pieces and three new ones arrive. Pieces cannot be turned, so plan for the shapes you have.
  5. The game ends when nothing in the tray fits and you have no refresh left. Your score is added to your lifetime total and your rank.

Points, Chains and the Purn Meter

Every block you place is worth one point. Clearing lines is where the real points are, and clearing several at once pays far more than one at a time:

Lines in one dropPointsOn a chain of 3
1 line1030
2 lines3090
3 lines60180
4 lines100300
Whole board empty+300 bonus+300 bonus

A chain builds when drop after drop clears something: the second clearing drop in a row doubles the line points, the third triples them, up to eight times. One drop that clears nothing resets the chain. The Purn meter above the board fills by one for each cleared line; at ten it turns into a refresh that swaps your tray for three new pieces. You start each game with one refresh and can hold three.

Ranks, Badges and Your Player Name

Your points from every finished game add up to a lifetime total, and that total sets your rank: Starter, Filler, Liner, Stacker, Builder and finally Purn Legend at 60,000 points. Eight badges reward special moments, such as clearing three lines at once or emptying the whole board. The full list, with what each badge asks, is on the ranks and badges page.

You can play as a guest, or create a free player name with a 4-digit PIN. No email, no phone number and no password reset are needed, because your profile lives only in this browser. That also means one family phone can hold a profile for each person, each with its own ranks.

Play It Like an App

Add Purn Win Game to your home screen and it opens full screen with its own icon, even without a connection. It takes a few seconds and almost no storage. Step-by-step instructions for Android and iPhone are on the game app page.
